HAL COOPERSMITH, ESQ.
Hal Coopersmith is a third generation attorney at Coopersmith & Coopersmith PLLC. Hal acts as a trusted advisor to a diverse clientele that includes developers, investors, landlords, co-op /condo boards and multinational tenants, and is responsible for managing the operations of the law firm.
Hal takes pride in the firm started by his grandfather and the reputation and relationships that preceded him. As the Managing Partner, Hal believes in a client driven process and that the law firm is responsible for delivering value and making clients profitable in every interaction.
Hal is a lifelong New Yorker who knows the in’s and out’s of the city. Hal is known for facilitating transactions while protecting his clients’ best interests. Hal also takes joy in seeing his client’s continued success and supports clients well after a transaction is complete.
Hal graduated from Brown University with honors in economics, writing his thesis “The Effects of the 2003 Smoking Ban on New York City Restaurants.” He graduated cum laude from Fordham University School of Law. While in law school, Hal made the Dean’s List, was an Associate Editor of Fordham’s Urban Law Journal, and received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award magna cum laude.
From 2015 to 2024, Hal was named by SuperLawyers as a Rising Star for the New York Metro Area.
